2025 Christmas Community Celebration at Noble Joseph House

12/23/2025

"There was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7)

As we draw near to the Feast of the Nativity, Noble Joseph House once again opened its doors in the simple and holy work of making room—room for the stranger, room for fellowship, and room for Christ Himself. Through our Noble Joseph Ministry, we were grateful to share a Christmas meal that reflected the heart of the Gospel: welcoming, hospitality, and love offered freely.

On this evening, 120 meals were served, and the parish hall was filled with warmth, conversation, music, and the easy happiness that comes when people are truly welcomed. We gathered not only to eat together, but to celebrate the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, who chose to enter the world in humility and to dwell among those who receive Him.

We offer sincere thanks to St. George Greek Orthodox Church (Young Adults Bible Study) for their generous help in serving and completing the Christmas meal. We are grateful as well to St. George Romanian OCA, under the pastoral care of Fr. Dn. Cristian, for filling the room with carols that lifted hearts and set the tone for the evening. Our thanks extend to St. Irene Chrisovalantou Greek Orthodox Church for providing sweaters and gift bags, and to JY for her private donation of gift bags, offered quietly and with love.

A special word of thanks to Mena and Alexei for preparing a delicious turkey that many were still talking about long after the meal. We also thank all of our St. Silouan volunteers and helpers, whose attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care made every guest feel at home.

The atmosphere throughout the night was bright and welcoming. Anthony played familiar Christmas music on the piano, children happily read out raffle prizes, and many volunteers and community members ended the evening with Compline, offering thanks to God for a night well shared.

Indeed, the Virgin is on her way to the Cave in our Regent Park Community.

Christ is born! Let us glorify Him!
